FIRST KICK
After two tough losses over the weekend the Lions will look to regain their form, which saw them win five straight, against Texas Woman's and Oklahoma Christian. The game versus Oklahoma Christian will be the first time the two teams will face each other ever.
SERIES SCORE
The Lions have faired well versus the Pioneers of Texas Woman's historically holding a record of 9-2-5. The two teams split last season with each team winning on their home field. The Pioneers have only won in Commerce twice, last season and back in 2007. A&M-Commerce now have started two new series this season with Oklahoma Christian this Saturday and Southern Nazarene earlier this season.
SOCUTING THE PIONEERS
The Pioneers stopped a four match winless streak – 0-3-1 – with a win 2-1 win over Angelo State on Sunday. So far this season the Pioneers have scored the most goals on average in the LSC and given up the most on average in the LSC. Texas Woman's is still winless on the road this season and have been outscored 12-4 in those six contests.  Alisa Velasquez leads the Pioneers with four goals on the season and is tied for second on the team with three assists totaling a team-leading 11 points. Emily Davila is tied for second in goals with three and points with seven. Tori Cook leads the team with five assists and also has seven points live Davila.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Eagles come into the contest with the Lions with just one win in their last five games – 1-2-2. In terms of common opponents the Eagles have lost to Midwestern State, Angelo State and Southern Nazarene and only scoring one goal in those three matches. Defense has been suspect so far this season for the Eagles, who are allowing three goals per game. The offense for the Eagles is lead by Somer Helms, who has scored four of the ten goals the Eagles have scored this season. Areli Bermudez Delgado is second on the team with three goals and tied for the lead in assists with three.
TOUGH DEFENSE
The Lions are currently ranked second in the Lone Star Conference in goals allowed per game at .89. Angelo State currently leads the conference with a .70 average.
FIRE AWAY
Freshman forward, Savannah Henderson, currently leads the LSC in shots (31) and shots per game (3.44). Henderson is also second in total points, points per game, goals, goals per game and game winning goals.
MIND(E)FUL OF OTHERS
Brionna Minde is currently leading the LSC in assists per game (.444) and sits second with four total on the season.
