The weekend brings a road trip west to open Lone Star Conference play in Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M on Friday and Sunday.

SERIES SCORE
This will be the first meeting between Southern Nazarene and A&M-Commerce. Southern Nazarene just finished making the transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II and the Great American Conference. The Lions hold a 9-2-1 advantage over Eastern all-time with those two loses coming the last two trips to Portales for the Lions. West Texas is one of the few opponents who own a winning record versus the Lions all-time (15-11-3), however the Lions have won the last to tilts in Canyon including a win last season over the eventual conference champions.
