Arlington, Texas – The A&M-Commerce football team will travel to AT&T Stadium for the Lone Star Football Festival and a showdown with Texas A&M-Kingsville for the Chennault Cup with kickoff slated for 10 a.m.

- A&M-Commerce enters the game at 279-208-12 in 499 Lone Star Conference games.
- In the win over ETBU, the Lions shattered NCAA, LSC and school records ... The 986 yards of total offense set a new NCAA record ... To go along with the NCAA record for total offense, the Lions set LSC record for points scored with 98, tied the touchdown record with 13, broke the record for the most point after attempts with 13 ... The team scored 57 points in the first half for a new record.
- QB Tyrik Rollison threw for 562 yards and six TDs to lead the offense ... Rollison broke the school record for passing yards and total offensive yards, tied the record for TD passes and broke the record for yards per attempt with 17 yards per pass attempt. 
- As a team, the Lions snapped the net passing yards record with 590 yards through the air ... RB Theo Wofford broke the record for yards per carry in single-game averaging 11.4 yards ... As a unit, the offense ran 81 plays snapping the total plays in game record ...The Lions also snapped the school record for yards per play with 12.7 yards per play. 
- Following the ETBU game, the Lions were ESPN's SportsCenter, College GameDay, NBC Sports, Fox Sports1 and numerous local and regional news outlets.
- The Lions experienced the biggest turnaround by a collegiate team in the state of Texas after their 7-5 season ... A&M-Commerce went 1-11 in 2012.
- The Lions set 20 team and individual records in 2013.
- DT Charles Tuaau was name the LSC Preseason Defensive POTY.
- Tuaau and WR Vernon Johnson have been racking up preseason all-American honors ... A&M-Commerce is the only team with one or more preseason all-Americans.
- Johnson was named to the Reese's Senior Bowl watch list ...The Reese's Bowl is the premiere predraft bowl game.
 
About the Series
- The two teams meet for the 61st time with Kingsville holding a 24-36-1 advantage in the series ... The Lions have won the last two meetings, 21-14, in 2012 and 41-28, in 2013.
-  Kingsville holds the longest winning streak in the series at seven games from 1992 to 1998.
- In 2013, the Lions held the Javelinas to 198 total yards in the win ... The victory was also the first A&M-Commerce road win in the state of Texas since 2006 ... Rollison was 13-of-19 for 129 yards ... KJ Garrett was the leading rusher with 80 yards on 24 carries ... Vernon Johnson five catches for 64 yards.
- The two teams play for the Chennault Cup, which was implemented in 1991 and recognizes the late Lt. General Claire Chennault.
- Chennault was a Commerce native who was a member of the famous  "Flying Tigers" fighter squadron during the 1930s and was the commander of the 14th Air Force During World War II.
- The original series was between West Alabama and A&M-Commerce, but shifted to Kingsville in 1992.
- The Javelinas hold a 13-4 advantage in Chennault Cup games despite the Lions holding it for the past two seasons.
