KINGSVILLE, TEXAS- A&M-Commerce volleyball team is looking to come up with a big road win on Friday, September 25 as the Lions travel to Kingsville for a match against Texas A&M-Kingsville.

The Lions dropped a Lone Star Conference Match earlier this week against a streaking Texas Woman's team that has won its last five matches. This dropped A&M-Commerce to 1-3 in the LSC.

Senior outside hitter
Amy Davault keeps her impressive year going adding 17 more kills on Tuesday night brining her total up to 210.
Courtney Tate has 507 assists and is averaging 9.75 assists per set. The Lions have been lead defensively by
Ashley Mireles who has recorded a team high 241 digs and freshman middle blocker
Sydney Reyes who has contributed with her 28 total blocks.

The Javelinas (8-4, 1-3 LSC) come into the match losing two of its last three contests. A&M-Kingsville lost back-to-back road LSC matches at Tarleton State and Angelo State. The Javelines were able to get back on track with a 3-0 win at Texas A&M International on Tuesday, September 23.

Offensively the Javelinas are led by sophomore middle blocker Ashley Bukowski who leads the team in kills with 128. Casey Klonedans has contributed 376 assists, an average of 8.95 a set. Defensively Texas A&M-Kingsville is led by two senior middle blockers Stephanie Johns and Ashley Tipps. Tipps is averaging 1.05 blocks per set and has tallied 43 on the season. Johns has contributed with 42 total blocks an average of 1 block per set.

A&M-Commerce has dominated the series with an overall record of 40-9 over the Javelinas. The Lions have won five of the last seven matches including two in a row.

First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. The Lions next match is another tough road contest on Tuesday, September 30 as the Lions travel to Angelo, Texas for a showdown with current LSC leader Angelo State.
