COMMERCE – The first piece of the 2026 schedule for the East Texas A&M University volleyball team was released on Wednesday morning with the announcement of the 16-match Southland Conference slate.
The Lions are looking to continue a streak of advancing to the postseason for the 15
th year in a row, which is the longest active streak among any sport at East Texas A&M. This year's Southland Conference Tournament will be held on November 20-22 in Corpus Christi.
The conference schedule begins with a pair of road matches at UIW on September 24 and at HCU on September 26. A four-match home stand follows with the Lions hosting New Orleans on October 1, Southeastern La. as part of homecoming on October 3, A&M-Corpus Christi on October 8, and defending co-conference champion UTRGV on October 10.
The first two matches in Louisiana during conference play follow with East Texas A&M heading to McNeese on October 15 and at Nicholls on October 17. The Lions then host defending conference tournament champion and NCAA Tournament participant SFA on October 21 and play at Lamar on October 24.
The second half of conference play starts with home match against UIW on October 29 and against HCU on October 31. The final road trip of the season begins at UTRGV on November 5, then at A&M-Corpus Christi on November 7, and at Northwestern State on November 12. The regular season closes out on November 14 at home against Northwestern State.
The NCAA Tournament begins on December 3 with NCAA Championship Weekend scheduled for December 17-20 in San Antonio. The full schedule for the 2026 season as well as season tickets information will be released as available.
