Turning PointFrom the first serve the Aggies came out ready to play. After jumping out to a 7-1 lead in the first set, the Lions struggle to play confidently throughout the entire match.
HOW IT HAPPENEDSet 1 The undefeated Aggies came out strong in the fist set dominating from the beginning. The Aggies jumped out to a 7-1 start. They ultimately won the first in a team effort with kills from five different players. Cameron defeated the Lions convincingly 25-14.
Set 2The Lions failed to catch their footing in set two and led only once in the set after the first point. At this point in the match, there was only two ties and one lead change. Although the score implied the set was close, the Aggies won securely 25-18.
Set 3The Lions came out fighting in the last set looking to elude a sweep in Aggie Gym. When the score was tied at 18, Cameron began to separate themselves after kills by Kendra Adams and Jordan Williams. Coming out of a timeout, the Lions made two attack errors that secured the momentum for the Aggies. Cameron went on to win the third set 25-20.
