The Lions swept the Mustangs marking their second LSC sweep of the season. The Mustangs are now 0-5 in conference play and are on an eight game losing streak.

Turning Point
In the second set, The Lions realed off four consecutive points after a Mustang push in an attempt to tie the set at one game each. Taryn Driver started with a kill followed by another kill by Veronika Baric. Hannah Dykstra then recorded a service ace that then led to a ball handling error by the Mustangs for the next point. These events guided the Lions to a set win, voiding comeback attempt for the Mustangs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1 
Despite a hitting percentage of .059, the Lions won the first set in the D.L. Ligon Coliseum 25-18 against the Midwestern State Mustangs. The difference maker in this set was the two ball handling errors by the Mustangs. The last ball handling error won the set for the Lions.
Set 2
The Lions continued to apply the pressure to the mustangs with a quick 6-1 start to the set. Summer Alford found the floor later in the set for a big kill that put the Lions up 15-9 however the Mustangs refused to lay down. The Mustangs battled back to cut the lead down to one at 20-19. The Lions then committed 4 consecutive errors three being from attacking and one ball handling error. The Lions regrouped and fired off three points to shift the momentum away from the Mustangs. The Lions won set two 25-23.
Set 3
In a close set, the Lions managed to grab the lead for the first time late in the set and never relinquished it closing out the match. The highlight of this set was that the Mustangs had ten attacking errors in the third set and finished with a hitting percentage of -.026, their lowest of the match. This was a big contributor to the 25-23 set win for the Lions.
