TURNING POINT
- The Pioneers came out firing on all cylinders and never let the Lions lead through the first two sets. A Lion service error to end the first set gave the home team plenty of momentum to carry out the victory. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1 (TWU, 25-14)
- Texas Woman's claimed the first five points of the night before the Lions got on the board with a Summer Alford kill.
- The Pioneer's led by 11 points on three different occasions.
- The Lions carried a .107 hitting percentage through the first set, despite having more attacking attempts than TWU.
- A&M-Commerce committed four service errors, while the Pioneers claimed five aces.
- Jaryn Wacker led the Lions with four kills, matching TWU's Sara Oxford for a set high.
Set 2 (TWU, 25-16)
- The Pioneers again started off hot, taking an early 8-2 lead.
- Oxford upped her kill total to eight, with Shaffer on her heels (7) for the team lead.
- Through two sets, the Lions had 14 attack errors and a hitting percentage of .060.
- Seven Lions were credited with a kill.
Set 3 (TWU, 25-21)
- A&M-Commerce scored first for the first time all evening, but the Pioneers stormed back to retake a quick 6-2 lead.
- The Lions tied the game at 7-7 after a big kill from Sydney Reyes.
- The two teams alternated points until TWU led 11-10 and started to pull away. The Pioneers scored six of the next seven points and went up 17-11.
- The Lions did their best to make a comeback and force a fourth set but came up just short.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Lions' only lead of the night came with a 1-0 advantage in the third and final set.
- TWU has won their last four matches at home and their last six overall.
- The only set any team other than TWU has claimed in that time was Cameron on October 3.
- Friday marked the fourth time this season the Lions were swept in straight sets.
