- The Lions earned the program's 123rd shutout in 96 seasons of football after a 63-0 rout of Tarleton State Saturday. It was first shutout since September 25, 2004 – a 26-0 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State.  Saturday was the program's 123rd shutout in 96 seasons.  It was the second largest margin of victory in shutout for the Lions. The largest was an 80-0 win in 1953. It was the largest margin of defeat in TSU football history.  It was the first shutout of TSU at home since 2006.
- Theo Wofford's 90-yard rush was the second longest rush in school history.  He missed the mark by one yard. The current record is 91-yards set by Roger Daley vs. Northeastern State on October 22, 2005.  It is the only scoring play over 90 yards this season. It is the longest play since Dionte Taylor's 95-yard interception return for a TD in the Heart of Texas bowl to end the 2014 season.
- Wofford's 155 yards rushing set a new career-high and his 11.9 yards per rush set a new A&M-Commerce school record. Wofford has set the school's yards per record twice during the season.  He notched 11.0 yards per rush at Kingsville for the previous record.  Wofford averages 9.8 yards per rush.
- Richard Cooper has reeled off five straight rushing games with over 100 yards. Cooper has rushed 102 times for 742 yards to average 7.2 yards per rush on the season.  In 2014, it took the Lions took then running back Joe Bergeron seven games to have to have 99 attempts. Cooper has surpassed that mark in just five games.
- The Lions are one of three teams in the NCAA with two backs over 100 yards rushing per game.
- Harrison Stewart eclipsed the 3,000-yard mark in his career after his 196 yards Saturday.  For the season, Stewart has completed 84 of his 146 passes for 1,219 yards and 16 touchdowns.  In his Lion career, he is 223-of-405 for 3,062 yards and 34 TDs.
