HOW IT HAPPENEDSet 1 (TWU 26-24)The Lions played hard in the fist set yet found themselves in a tight set. After a timeout by the Pioneers with the Lions up 20-16, Texas Woman's came out firing and took an immediate lead 21-20. Baric came back with three more kills for the Lions but then committed two attacking errors that gave the Pioneers enough life as they led 23-24. After an service error TWU, the Pioneers gets a kill from followed by an ace by to escape with the first set.
Veronika Baric led the set with five kills.
Summer Alford finished the set with four kills while
Taryn Driver was behind her with three kills.

Set 2 (TWU, 25-22)In another tight set, the Lions fought hard and got four kills on four attacks by setter
Courtney Tate.

Summer Alford followed her each getting three kills. For Texas Woman's, Hillary Shaffer, Sara Oxford, and Briley Cole each had four kills in the second set.
Set 3 (TWU, 25-17)The Lions struggled offensively in this set recording 14 kills on 47 attempts that led to a .043 hitting percentage in the third set. The Pioneers five team blocks in the set proved to be key as well in comparison to the Lions one.
Jaslyn Wacker led the Lions in the set with five kills on six attempts closing the set with a .667 hitting percentage.
