Commerce, Texas – The 14-11 Lions look to get back on track against the struggling Midwestern Mustangs (6-21) Friday, November 6.
The first time these teams met this season, the Lions swept the Mustangs in a close match (25-18, 25-23, 25-23).
Summer Alford led the Lions with seven kills on 23 swings ending with a .174 hitting percentage.
Ashley Mireles also played well in this match defensively leading the team with 15 digs. As for the Mustangs, Hunter Porter and Kiley Beaver each had a team-high of five kills in the loss.
The Mustangs have failed to win a match this year in conference play and are 15-21 overall against the Lions. When playing at home, the Lions hold a 16-13 record over the Mustangs in conference and are 9-6 when playing against them in The Field House.
