Vicky Back and
Jade Bell the Lions soccer team opened the 2015 home schedule with a 10-0 win over Oklahoma Baptist Friday night giving head coach
Neil Piper his 200th career win.

Turning Point-
Vicky Back scored her third goal in the first half to give the senior a hat track following a blasted free kick up and over the wall beating the keeper just under the crossbar in the 38th minute.
Summary- The combination of Back and
Jade Bell alternated scoring the first seven goals for the Lions.
- Back flicked in a corner kick in the fourth minute to start the scoring off. She followed that up with a goal in the 23rd minute and completed the first half hat trick on her free kick goal blasted in from 25-yards out. The free kick was hammered home leaving no chance for Oklahoma Baptist's keeper to make a play.
- Bell scored an unassisted goal in the 17th minute. She took advantage of a long throw in by
Ashley Phillips that was flicked on to the back post to a wide-open Bell by
Madison Cordts in the 35th minute. Bell completed her hat trick the final goal of the first half when she received a cross from Back in the front of a wide-open net in the 40th minute.
- Back notched her forth and final goal in the 46th minute beating the keeper with a long shot.

Savannah Grasser scored in the 55th minute on penalty kick that was set up by hand ball.

Bailey Collins scored in the 70th minute assisted by
Louise Lehrmann.
- Cordts tallied the tenth goal in the 85th minute with a free kick beating the keeper top shelf on the left side.
Inside the Box Score- The win gave head coach
Neil Piper his 200th career win... Piper entered the 2015 season 19th on the NCAA DII women's soccer coaches' active winningest coaches list.
- The Lions 10 goals tied the school record previously set on October 9, 2005 vs. East Central and on September 28, 1996 against Dallas Baptist.
- Back's four goals is one shy of her career tally entering Friday's contest. She scored four goals in 2013 and one goal in 2014.
- After her hat trick, Bell has now tallied 25 career goals. She is currently 9th all-time on the Lions goals scored list and ninth in total points with 64.
- The win pushed the Lions to 2-1 on the season.
Up NextA&M-Commerce (2-1-0) will return to action on Sunday, when they host to Emporia State. The match is slated to begin at 11 a.m. at Lion Soccer Field.
