COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Lion soccer team suffered their first setback of the season on Saturday afternoon, falling 1-0 in double overtime to UC-Colorado Springs. With the loss, the Lions settle for a 1-1 split in their season opening road trip to the state of Colorado.

Neil Piper Turning Point- Taylor Braden's fourth shot of the game found the net in the 102nd minute to sink the Lions.

Courtnie Northern recorded a dozen saves. The Lions took seven corners kicks, while the Mountain Lions took only four.
Inside the Box Score- The Lions now stand 3-4 against teams from the state of Colorado dating back to 2012. Saturday's victory was the first time the Mountain Lions have ever defeated Lions, and the young all-time series now stands at a win and a loss apiece. The Lions' last 2OT loss came on September 16 last season, a 2-1 loss to Dallas Baptist.
A&M-Commerce (1-1-0) will return to action on Friday, when they host Oklahoma Baptist in the 2015 home opener. The match is slated to begin at 7:30 pm at Lion Soccer Field.
