The Lions are coming off of a 1-1 tie with Texas Woman's on Wednesday. The Lions scored a goal in the 12th minute but gave up the tying goal just two minutes later. The game went into overtime and the Lions could not find the go-ahead goal.

The Lions will now face Midwestern State. The Lions lost to the Mustangs 2-1 at home two weeks ago and will be looking for payback on MSU's field. The match could prove pivotal in the conference standings with only five matches remaining in the regular season.

"I was disappointed with the way we played in the first half, particularly with the goals we gave up," said head coach Neil Piper after the first MSU match. "I thought they were very soft. We are not a good enough team to win games by giving teams goals."

The Lions are currently tied for the conference lead with 13 points. They have played one more game than the majority of the conference with their Wednesday match.
