TAMUC set the program record for points scored against a Division II opponent last Monday in a 110-81 rout of Midwestern State. This helped the Lions close the season as the No. 1 scoring offense in the LSC at 77.8 points per game. The Lions are also the top rebounding team in the league with 43.7 boards per game and lead the league in steals at 12.32 per game.
Dyani Robinson won her third LSC Offensive Player of the Week award this season on Monday and finished the regular season as the league's leading scorer at 18.4 points per game, a 1.5 point margin over second place. She also ranks eighth in field goal percentage (.438), and 14th in assists (3.2).
DesiRay Kernal ranks fourth in the conference in scoring at 16.1 points per game and eighth in rebounding at 6.8 boards per contest.
Juliana Louis ranks fifth in the league in rebounding at 8.6 rebounds per game.
Chania Wright also averages 11.9 points per game and the fourth double-digit Lion is Louis at 10.5 points per game.
On the opponent…
Oklahoma Christian ranks eight in the league in scoring (64.1) and fourth in scoring defense (61.6). The Eagles' 36.6 percent field goal percentage defense is third in the league and they are also third in the conference in three-point percentage at 33.7 percent.
Brooklin Bain is fifth in the conference in scoring at 15.1 points per game and Maddison Collyer ranks 15th in the league at 13.3 points per game. Bain nearly averages a double-double, as her 9.4 rebounds per game ranks third in the conference. She also shoots 49.1 percent from the floor to rank fourth in the LSC.
Collyear ranks first in the conference with 6.2 assists per game, and her 1.5 assist-to-turnover ratio is third-best in the conference.
