JONESBORO, Ark. – Michelle Becker finished tied for 29^th place for the Texas A&M University-Commerce women's golf team at the Lady Red Wolves Classic, hosted by Arkansas State at the Sage Meadows Golf Club.
 
Becker (San Antonio – Reagan) shot a 73 in the final round to finish with a three-round score of 221 (76-72-73), while Benz Far-Arun (Bangkok, Thailand) tied for 53^rd place with a score of 226 (76-72-78). Jordan Dusckas (Flower Mound Marcus) shot a 75 on Tuesday to put together a score of 227 (77-75-75) in the three rounds.
 
Closing out the Lion contingent, Henriette Stranda (Krakstaad, Norway) finished 80^th with a score of 234 (76-79-80) and Marie Naeher (Neuenbuerg, Germany) tied for 89^th place with a score of 241 (77-80-84).
 
The Lions posted a team score of 909 (305-298-306) to finish two strokes ahead of Omaha for 14^th place. Central Arkansas edged out Arkansas State by one shot for the team title with scores of 863 and 864, respectively. ULM finished in third with a score of 865.
 
"We finally had our first sub-300 round for the season and were led by our senior Michelle, who had a great performance this week," said coach Lise Malherbe. "From the tee to the green, we are performing well. We plan to improve on our putting and par 5 scoring this coming week. In a highly competitive field, these weaknesses showed."

The fall season closes out next week in Hot Springs at the Little Rock Golf Classic on October 17-18.
