FRISCO – Texas A&M University-Commerce men's golfer Nathan McCulloch has been named the Southland Conference Men's Golfer of the Month on Thursday afternoon for the month of October after recording two top 10 finishes.
 
McCulloch finished as the runner up at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate hosted by New Mexico State and carded a 10^th place finish at The Bear Brawl last Monday, shooting a 65 in the second round.
 
Over eight rounds in the month of October, he had a scoring average of 72.4 and shot in the 60s three times. A&M-Commerce finished tied for seventh at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate, seventh at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, and sixth at The Bear Brawl.
 
This is the first monthly award for the Lions this season, who look ahead to the spring season, which begins on February 27-28 in Diamondhead, Mississippi, at the Gulf Coast Classic.
