BOULDER, Colo. – The Texas A&M University-Commerce soccer team fell 6-0 at the Colorado Buffaloes on Thursday night inside Prentup Field, marking the first time that the Lions played a team from the Power Five conference in the regular season.
 
The Buffs scored the first goal of the match in the 28^th minute off the foot of Civana Kuhlmannn. Emerson Layne added the second goal in the 43^rd minute, followed by Kayleigh Webb's goal in the 47^th minute to start the second half.
 
Shyra James scored off an assist from Juliauna Hayward in the 58^th minute and scored her second goal of the match in the 66^th minute, assisted by Kuhlmann and Jenny Beyer. Layne tallied her second goal in the 77^th minute.
 
The Lions were restricted to six shots and three on goal. Ashley Campuzano (Dallas – Atlas Prep) had two shots, while the other shots on goal came from Christina Hernandez (Denison) and Addy Higgins (Dallas – Ursuline Academy), respectively.
 
Colorado took 38 shots with 15 on goal. Jen Peters (Allen) recorded a save in the first half and Gillian McKenzie (Mesquite Horn) stopped eight in the second half.
