KYLE – Benz Far-Arun sits in eighth place for the Texas A&M University-Commerce women's golf team at the Texas State Invitational after two rounds on Monday at the Plum Creek Golf Course.
Far-Arun (Bangkok, Thailand) improved her score by a stroke in the second round to accumulate a total of 149 (75-74), she is seven strokes behind the leaders, Marine Griffaut of Texas State and Cincinnati's Katie Hallinan. The Lions, as a team, are seventh with a score of 617 (311-306).
This is the first tournament for the Lions this spring.
Carly Whittington (Kinder, La.) made her Lion debut and is tied for 22
nd place with a score of 155 (76-79).
Jordan Dusckas (Flower Mound Marcus) improved her score by 10 strokes in the second round with two birdies and an eagle in the afternoon round. She is in 27
th place with a score of 156 (83-73).
Michelle Becker (San Antonio – Reagan) is tied for 29
th place with a score of 158 (78-80), while
Julianna Crow (Trinity School of Midland) is tied for 42
nd place with a score of 163 (82-81).
