COMMERCE – Two quick goals in the final 10 minutes of Friday night's exhibition contest gave the Texas A&M University-Commerce soccer team a 3-1 win over the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks in the final tune-up before the regular season at the Lion Soccer Field.
 
The Lions outscored their opponents, 14-1, in the two exhibition matches this season. On Friday, 
Kaydence Ramirez (Waxahachie) tallied two goals and 
Kristen Sueltz (The Colony) scored the first goal of the match.

The Lions now look ahead to beginning the regular season at home on Thursday at 7 p.m. against Oral Roberts. Admission is free for all home matches this season.
 
Sueltz opened the scoring in the 31
st minute, scoring on a corner from 
Mya Mitchell (Dallas – Mesquite Horn). She checked into the match just seconds prior, before heading in the goal.
 
In the 85
th minute, 
Jaynie Rust (Oregon City, Ore.) kicked a long ball that was crossed into the box by Mitchell and kicked in by Ramirez. Mitchell and Ramirez connected again in the 87
th minute with Mitchell kicking in a corner and headed in by Ramirez.
 
SFA's lone goal came with 1.2 seconds left in the match. Jayme Bailey kicked in a long ball from Reaganne Crane.
 
The Lions outshot the Ladyjacks, 21-12. 
Gillian McKenzie played the first half in goal for the Lions and made three saves, while 
Sophia Dean (Spring – Grand Oaks) made four saves in the second half.
