LAST TIME OUT FOR THE LIONS
The Lions competed well at the John Jacob Invitational last weekend.
Ibrahim Fuseini (Accra, Ghana) had top-30 times in the country in the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash.
A LOOK AT THE LION MEN
Fuseini is third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.24 seconds in the Southland Conference, while
Oguz Uyar (Turkey) is tied for seventh with a time of 10.39 seconds, and
Enoch Fosuhene (Accra, Ghana) ranks ninth with a time of 10.40 seconds. Fuseini is also fourth in the 200 meter dash, with a time of 20.66 seconds. In the 5,000 meter run,
Alex Speer (Robinson) ranks 10th with a time of 15:11.12,
Jordan Johnson (Guateng, South Africa) is ninth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.74 seconds, and
Jack Jones (Arlington - Lamar) ranks seventh in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 58.39 seconds. The Lions' 4x100 meter relay is third with a time of 40.15 seconds and the 4x400 meter relay squad's season-best time of 3:12.48 ranks fourth.
In the field events,
Justine Jimoh (Benin, Nigeria) sits in second in the high jump with a mark of 7-1 (2.16m), while
Tyke Owens (Lebanon Trail) is seventh with a mark of 6-7 (2.01m), and
Xak Edwards (Greenville) is tied for eighth with a mark of 2.00 (6-6.75). Tahje Parrish (Picayunne, Miss.) ranks fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 48-9.5 (14.87m).
Joshua Nate (Geneva School of Boerne) completed his first decathlon as a Lion last week and his point total of 5,215 is fifth.

Last week in Norman,
Analice Pursley (Georgetown Eastview) ran a time of 1:05.80 in the 400 meter hurdles, which is seventh in the conference. The 4x100 meter relay squad ranks eighth with a time of 48.24.
Magdaline Campo (Haiti) is third in the high jump with a mark of 5-7.75 (1.72m), while
Jenneil Jacobie (Piat Gros Islet, France) is fifth with a mark of 5-7.25 (1.71m). In the long jump,
Celeste Sela (Mont de Marsan, France) is fourth with a mark of 19-9.75 (6.04m).
Cassandra Rendon (San Antonio - Warren) is second in the discus with a mark of 162-1 (49.40m), while
Romi Griese (Salzkotten, Germany) is sixth with a mark of 140-0 (42.67m). Campo's heptathlon mark of 4,497 points is fourth.
