TOKYO, Japan – East Texas A&M University takes center stage at the 2025 World Athletics Championships this week as Lion alum
Ibrahim Fuseini competes in two events for Ghana with Lion coach

Fuseini (Accra, Ghana) is set to participate in the 200 meter dash and the 4x100 meter relay for Ghana in Tokyo this week. The first round of the 200 meter dash takes place on Wednesday morning, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, and the Finals on Friday.
Fuseini's heat in the 200 meter dash is scheduled for 6:43 a.m. central on Wednesday. Earlier this year, Fuseini won the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 4x100 meter relay, and 4x400 meter relay for East Texas A&M at the 2025 Southland Outdoor Championships.
The 4x100 meter relay, which Fuseini and Ghana qualified for at the World Athletics Relay Championships earlier this year, begin on Saturday, followed by the finals on Sunday.
