COLLEGE STATION – In the first meet this season when the full East Texas A&M University track and field team was in action, three Lion school records fell inside the Fasken Indoor Track and Field Facility as part of the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational on Friday.
Along with the Lions, the other teams in the six-school field this week were the hosts, Aggies, as well as Arizona State, Baylor, Sam Houston, and Tennessee. Full results of the meet can be found

MEN
Enoch Fosuhene (Accra, Ghana) set the school record in the 300 meter dash with a time of 33.31 seconds, taking fifth. The previous school record was 34.19 seconds, set in 2017 by Jude Christine.
Hope Tomabari Nagbi (Lewe Gokana, Nigeria) finished ninth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.72 seconds. Two Lions finished in the top five in the 800 meter run with
Christian James (Rosharon – Manvel) taking second, timing 1:56.08, while
Tarus Cook (Cumberland Academy) coming in fifth with a time of 2:01.42.
Three Lions qualified for the finals in the 60 meter hurdles.
Cash Goodman (Blue Ridge) took fifth with a time of 8.47 seconds in the prelims, followed by
RJ Fannin (Princeton) in seventh with a time of 8.55 seconds, and
Evan Ealy (Spring – Klein Collins) in eighth with a time of 8.57 seconds.
In the finals, Goodman finished fifth with a time of 8.36 seconds with Ealy right behind him at 8.37 seconds, and Fannin was eighth with a time of 8.56 seconds.
The 4x400 meter relay 'B' team of
Joshua Nate (Geneva School of Boerne), James,
Joshua Kommer (Balingen, Germany), and
Eddie Barrientes (Fort Worth – Chisholm Trail) ended the day on the track with a time of 3:22.00 for ninth.
In field events,
Dominic Escamilla (Brazoswood) threw 44-6 (13.56m) in the weight throw for fifth,
Seniru Amarasinghe (Colomo, Sri Lanka) cleared 6-6.75 (2.00m) for second in the high jump and
Xak Edwards (Greenville) took fourth, clearing 6-2.75 (1.90m).
Justin Vincent (Agde, France) placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 23-0 (7.01m) and in the triple jump,
Joseph Rolland (Wills Point) was fourth with a mark of 46-11 (14.30m) and
Tahje Parrish (Picayunne, Miss.) was fifth with a mark of 46-8.75 (14.24m).
WOMEN
Veronika Kramarenko (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine) won the high jump overall, clearing 5-10 (1.78m), being the only jumper in the field to do so. Her and Arizona State's Josie Coffey, both cleared 1.75 meters and entered a jump-off to break the tie and Kramarenko cleared 1.78 meters in her first attempt, while Coffey did not. Both jumpers did not clear 1.80 meters in four attempts.

Jenneil Jacobie (Piat Gros Islet, Saint Lucia) held the previous school record of 5-8.75 (1.75m), which was set last season. Kramarenko's mark ranks eighth in NCAA Division I this season.
Kiara Brown (Dallas – Carter) broke her own school record that she set a year ago in the 300 meter dash, finishing fifth with a time of 38.04 seconds. Her previous best as a Lion was 38.43 seconds.
In the 400 meter dash,
Roane Lion (Georgetown – East View) clocked in at 59 seconds for fifth, while
Mia Abraham (DeSoto) took eighth with a time of 1:02.63.
Sydnee Wilson (Lewisville) timed 24.78 seconds for seventh in the 200 meter dash.
Magdaline Campo (Montpellier, France) timed 9.14 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles prelims to qualify for the finals, which she did not finish. She also took fourth in the high jump, clearing 5-5 (1.65m).
To round out the day on the track, the 4x400 meter relay squad of
Cece Charles (Morne Fendue St. Patrick, Grenada,
Leah Pettis (McKinney North), Campo, and Brown, finished fourth with a time of 3:46.57, while the 'B' team of Lion,
Savannah Harvey (Shawnee, Kan.), Abraham, and
Anayah Copeland (Copperas Cove), timed 4:02.22 for ninth.
Among the other field events,
Cassandra Rendon (San Antonio – Madison) threw 44-5.5 (13.55m) for fourth in the weight throw and was third in the shot put with a mark of 36-5.75 (11.12m), while
Romi Griese (Salzkotten, Germany) threw 35-11.25 (10.95m) for fourth.
Dejah Fuller (Waxahachie Life) was sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 38-11 (11.86m and
Amaka Ezukanma (Fort Worth – Timber Creek) took seventh with a mark of 38-7.5 (11.77m).
