COMMERCE – East Texas A&M University women's basketball team has announced the signing of
Tiani Ellison, a transfer from Missouri Western State.
Ellison (Durant, Okla.) was a MIAA Freshman of the Year nominee and part of the conference championship winning team at Missouri Western State in 2023-24. She appeared in 30 games and started seven games, averaging 8.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, totaling 17 assists, 17 steals, team-best 31 blocks on the season.
She played her high school basketball at Silo High School, scoring over 2,000 career points. Ellison was a four-time Team MVP, named to the all-tournament six times, and was state championship runner up once, making the state tournament all four years of high school. She was a National Honor Society member and the second highest leading scorer in school history.
Ellison is majoring in graphic design and daughter of Fasiri Ellison and BJ Robinson-Ellison. Both her parents played basketball in college as did relatives Crystal Robinson (Aunt), Brandi McWilliams (Aunt), Nancy Robinson (Grandmother), and Jaxson Robinson (cousin), while relatives Attiya Ellison (Uncle) and Tyson Ellison (cousin) played college football.
