Jade Washington has been named the Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Washington (Waco – Midway) led the Lions to a 2-0 week as she averaged 7.1 digs per set, totaling 57 digs in the eight sets. In the three-set win over Nicholls, Washington posted 23 digs and then added 34 digs in the five-set win at McNeese. She also added a pair of aces last week.
The Lions host two matches on Hunt Regional Healthcare Court this week welcoming SFA on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Lamar on Saturday at 1 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at
