COMMERCE – East Texas A&M University has released the 2025-26 women's basketball schedule on Monday afternoon.
The Lions are scheduled to play 15 games on the Hunt Regional Healthcare Court at the Field House this season, which are the program's most in the Division I era and most overall since 2017-18. This is the first season that the Lions are eligible for the NCAA Tournament as full members of Division I.
For the fourth year in a row, the Lions begin the season at home as they host UNT Dallas on November 3 at 2:30 p.m. East Texas A&M then plays at Oklahoma State on November 5.
The Lions are back at home to host UT Dallas on November 9 at 2:30 p.m. followed by a road contest at Oklahoma on November 19. The first of 22 Southland Conference games of the season come on November 22 at Southeastern, the defending SLC Champion.
Following Thanksgiving weekend, the Lions take on Louisiana on December 2 and come back to host Abilene Christian at 2:30 p.m. on December 6. After a game at McNeese on December 12, the Lions host Texas Southern at 10:30 a.m. on December 15 for Education Day presented by Signature Solar.
The rest of the Southland Conference schedule remains the same for the Lions as it was announced earlier this fall.
During conference play, the Lions will play Thursday games at home at 6:30 p.m. outside of January 8 against A&M-Corpus Christi, which tips off at 2:30 p.m. All Saturday home games during SLC action will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Game time for the New Year's Eve contest against Lamar in Commerce will be announced at a later date.
