GULF SHORES, Ala. – Three East Texas A&M University women's golfers finished in the top 30 at the Bama Beach Bash following the final round on Tuesday at the Gulf Shores Golf Club as the Lions finished eighth as a team.
Jordan Dusckas (Flower Mound Marcus) carded a three-round score of 230 (76-77-77) to place in a tie for 16
th place, followed by both
Marie Baertz (Luxembourg) and
Marie Naeher (Neuenbuerg, Germany) tying for 26
th, both totaling a score of 235.
"We've got to work on our consistency as well as our putting. Those both seemed to hold us back this week," said director of golf
Brian Dolehide. "We know what we need to work on and we're looking forward to a new opportunity at ULM!"
Julianna Crow (Trinity School of Midland) came in 41
st with a score of 239 (79-80-80) and
Fahsai Inmee (Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand) taking 50
th place with a score of 244 (85-81-78).
Georgia State's Pariya Sanpanawat and Iowa State's Pimkwan Chookaew tied for the individual medal, both totaling a three-round score of 214.
Iowa State, who is currently ranked No. 36 in the country, rolled to a 38-stroke victory in the team leaderboard with a score of 877. UNC Asheville shot 915 as a team to finish second.
