SAN MARCOS – The 2025 Southland Conference Women's Golf championships began on Monday afternoon at the Kissing Tree Golf Club as the East Texas A&M University women's golf team sits in sixth place when play was halted due to darkness.
All but two golfers in the field finished their first rounds on Monday evening before the round was halted due to darkness. The Lions'
Marie Baertz (Luxembourg) is one of the two golfers who will finish the 18
th hole on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. The second round will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. Live scoring can be tracked

The Lions are currently in sixth place having shot 20 over par thus far as a team. Augusta posted a score of seven over par in the first round to lead Lamar by five strokes.
Prior to finishing her first round, Baertz is tied for second, having shot even par through 17 holes.
Julianna Crow (Trinity School of Midland) is tied for 11
th, having shot a 75 on Monday, while
Jordan Dusckas (Flower Mound Marcus) is tied for 27
th with a score of 79,
Fahsai Inmee (Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand) is tied for 32
nd with a score of 82 and
Marie Naeher shot an 84 to be in 37
th place.
