AZUSA, Calif. and
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Enoch Fosuhene set a meet record at the Pacific Coast Invitational on Thursday and the women's discus school record was set twice as the East Texas A&M University track and field team also competed in the Bryan Clay Invitational to begin the week in California.

East Texas A&M also takes part in the Beach Invitational on Friday in Long Beach.
MEN
Fosuhene (Accra, Ghana) set the meet record in the 200 meter dash with a wind-legal time of 20.85 seconds, while
Armani Modeste (Castries, Saint Lucia) clocked in at 21.62 seconds for 23
rd and
Philip Krenek (Prague, Czech Republic) took 45
th with a time of 22.02 seconds.
Krenek also ran a time of 48.03 seconds for fourth in the 400 meter dash, while Modeste timed 48.51 seconds for eighth and
Myles Redding (Waco – University) came in 18
th with a time of 49.31 seconds.
In the 100 meter dash, Fosuhene timed 10.35 seconds for fourth and
Oguz Uyar (Cannakele, Turkey) finished eight with a time of 10.47 seconds.
Over at the Bryan Clay Invitational,
Casey Novelo (Bedford – Trinity) timed 18
th with a time of 14:34.30 seconds in the 5,000 meter run,
Jeremiah Garcia (Northwest – Eaton) finished 20
th with a time of 14:35.61 and
Alex Speer timed 14:51.78 for 57
th.
WOMEN
The women's discus school record exchanged hands twice on Thursday as
Cassandra Rendon (San Antonio – Madison) first threw 166-7 (50.78m) for eighth to set the school record, only for
Romi Griese to throw 172-01 (52.46m) for fifth in the next heat and setting the new school record.
Blessing Samuel (Ghana) jumped 18-6 (5.64m) for 18
th in the long jump and
Amaka Ezukanma (Fort Worth – Timber Creek) took 33
rd with a mark of 17-10.75 (5.45m). In the triple jump, Samuel placed 11
th with a mark of 38-6.75 (11.75m) and Ezukanma jumped 38-1.5 (11.62m) to take 13
th.
