COMMERCE – East Texas A&M University soccer midfielder Alana Lawless-Felarca was named the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday morning.
 
Lawless-Felarca (Dallas – Richardson) has earned her first career weekly honor and it is the second for the Lions this season as goalkeeper Veronica Pacione (Birdville) earned Goalkeeper of the Week honors on September 2.
 
With the Lions trailing 2-0 in the second half in last Thursday's SLC opener at Lamar, Lawless-Felarca scored twice in less than two minutes to help the Lions earn a crucial draw on the road to start conference play.
 
UP NEXT
The Lions play at McNeese on Thursday at 6 p.m. and host UIW on Sunday at 1 p.m. for a 30-year celebration of Lion Soccer.
