FRISCO – The East Texas A&M University men's and women's basketball teams have learned their Southland Conference schedules for the 2026-27 season.
 
For the second consecutive year, all Southland Conference teams will play a 22-game league schedule, culminating with the Southland Conference Tournament in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in March.
 
Complete schedules, along with season ticket information for both Lion basketball teams, will be released later this fall.
 
MEN
The Lion men open their conference slate against defending conference champion SFA on December 5 before traveling to Lamar on December 7. East Texas A&M opens its home conference schedule on December 19 against Southeastern La., followed by a December 21 matchup with McNeese on the Hunt Regional Healthcare Court inside the Field House.
 
The Lions ring in the new year against Nicholls on January 2 before hosting LSU New Orleans on January 4. East Texas A&M then heads to South Texas for games at UTRGV on January 9 and at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on January 11.
 
The Lions return home to host HCU on January 16 and UIW on January 18 before embarking on a three-game road trip to LSU New Orleans on January 23, Nicholls on January 25 and Northwestern State on January 30.
 
The longest homestand of the season begins with Lamar visiting the Field House on February 1, followed by Northwestern State on February 6 and SFA on February 8.
 
The final road trip of the regular season begins at three-time defending Southland Conference Tournament champion McNeese on February 13. The Lions then travel to Southeastern on February 15, UIW on February 20 and HCU on February 21.
 
East Texas A&M closes the regular season at home against UTRGV on February 28 and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on March 1.
 
The men's Southland Conference Tournament is scheduled for March 7-10 at the Townsley Arena in Lake Charles. The tournament champion will receive the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament, which begins March 16 with the First Four in Dayton, Ohio, or Wichita, Kansas. The 2027 Men's Final Four is scheduled for April 3-5 in Detroit.

WOMEN
The Lion women open conference play at Lamar on December 3 before returning home for a four-game homestand against McNeese on December 17, Southeastern La. on December 19, LSU New Orleans on December 31 and Nicholls on January 2.
 
A trip to South Texas follows, with the Lions facing Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on January 7 and UTRGV on January 9. East Texas A&M then returns home to host UIW on January 14 and HCU on January 16.
 
The Lions head back on the road for games at Nicholls on January 21 and LSU New Orleans on January 23. Two-time defending Southland Conference Tournament champion SFA visits the Field House on January 28, followed by Lamar on January 30.
 
Five of the next six games are on the road, with East Texas A&M traveling to SFA on February 4, Northwestern State on February 13, HCU on February 18 and UIW on February 20. The lone home game during the stretch comes against Northwestern State on February 6, while the Lions travel to Southeastern La. on February 11.
 
The Lions close their home schedule with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on February 25 and UTRGV on February 27 before concluding the regular season at McNeese, the defending Southland Conference champion.
 
The Southland Conference Tournament returns to Lake Charles on March 8-11. The NCAA Tournament begins with the First Four on March 17, while the 2027 NCAA Women's Final Four is scheduled for April 2-4 in Columbus, Ohio.
