Played in 41 games in his A&M-Commerce career... Recorded 118 total tackles, 30.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks... Forced two fumbles and recovered five... Also had a blocked kick return for a touchdown... Was a major contributor to the Lions’ 2017 NCAA Division II National Championship.

2017: Second Team All-LSC at defensive line... LSC Defensive Player of the Week (11/13)... Played in all 15 games as a senior... Co-led the conference with 18.5 tackles for loss and was eighth in LSC in sacks (5.0)... Had 1.5 sacks against Western New Mexico (10/14)... Had three tackles for loss against both West Texas A&M (10/28) and UT Permian Basin (11/4)... Had five tackles, two tackles for loss and a forced fumble against Tarleton State (11/11)... Made five tackles and forced a fumble in the National Semifinal game against Harding (12/9)... Made seven tackles in the National Championship game against West Florida (12/16)... Was part of the 2017 NCAA Division II National Championship team.

2016: All-Conference Honorable Mention… Played in all 12 games for the Lions as a junior… Recorded 33 tackles including seven for loss with one sack… Had four other quarterback hits… Had four fumble recoveries on the season… Had four tackles and two fumble recoveries against Angelo State (10/22)… Had six tackles in the Lions’ postseason win against Colorado Mesa (11/19).

2015: Played in all 12 games at linebacker as a sophomore… Finished the season with 30 tackles, including five for loss and four sacks and a fumble recovery… Recorded seven tackles with a sack against Adams State (9/3)… Recorded three tackles and a sack against Texas A&M-Kingsville (9/19)… Recorded four tackles with two sacks against Tarleton State (10/3).
 
2014: Appeared in two games at linebacker as a freshman… Finished season with two tackles.
 
2013: Redshirted

Prior to A&M-Commerce: Three-year letter winner at Mexia… Helped led the Blackcats to the District Championship in 2010 and a runner-up finish in 2011 … Two-time team captain … First Team All-District selection in 2011 … Second Team All-District selection in 2012 … 2012 Mexia Blackcat Shield of Honor recipient … 2011 Tommy Flatt Award recipient … Three-time First Team Academic All-District selection.

Personal: Born October 25, 1994 … Son of the late Darrell Carter and Regina Bedford … Plans to major in kinesiology.
