High School: Ene won numerous awards: Named to the 2017 Texas Class 5A All-State team ... 2017 District 14-5A Offensive MVP ... 2017 First Team All-League ... 2017 Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) All-Star team  ... 2017 HoopDFW Elite 24 Metroplex All-Star team ... 2017 North Texas Basketball Coaches Association All-Star squad. Played on the Adidas circuit for the Dallas Mustangs for head coach Tony Johnson. At a ScoutsFocus basketball camp for recruits, ESPN's Paul Biancardi stated, "No one played with more passion on both ends of the floor this weekend than Ene." In 2014-15, Ene was named Sophomore of the Year, while he was named First Team All-District as a junior. As a senior, he was named Offensive Player of the Year, All-Region, and All-State.
