COMMERCE, Texas – Head Coach Neil Piper today released the 2014 schedule as competition is set to begin on Friday September 5th when the Lions host University of Colorado-Colorado Springs for A&M-Commerce.

The slate features 18 games with eight games at Lion Soccer Field and two games down in Pensacola, Florida on the campus of the University of West Florida.

2014 A&M-Commerce Soccer Schedule

The Lions open the season with two homes games; the season opener versus UC-Colorado Springs and then host St. Mary's on Tuesday September, 9th. The game versus UCCS will be the first ever meeting between the two programs. A&M-Commerce and St. Mary's were supposed to play one another last season but the game got cancelled due to weather.

A&M-Commerce then heads down to Pensacola, Florida for games versus Columbus State (Ga.) and the host, University of West Florida. Those two games will be the first time the Lions have faced those two schools on the pitch.

After a game versus Dallas Baptist the Lions will then face St. Edward's, the team that ended the Lions 2013 season in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament, at Lion Soccer Field on Friday September 19th.

Lone Star Conference play kicks-off when West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico come to town on the final weekend in September. The Lions then travel to Angelo State and Midwestern State before hosting Texas Woman's on the ninth of October.

The Lions step out of conference on Monday October, 13th to travel to Southern Nazarene before hosting Angelo State and Midwestern State the following weekend.

The season closes out with three straight on the road with trips to Texas Woman's, West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico before the LSC Tournament on November 7th-9th.
