Vernon Johnson and Defensive Tackle Charlie Tuaau have been named to the
BSN 2014 Preseason All America First Team.
BSN is proud to announce our 2014 Preseason D2 All America Football Team. The 2014 Preseason All America Football Team was chosen based on returning All Americans from the 2013 BSN All America Football Team, highest vote recipients in the 2013 BSN All American Voting, statistics, and game evaluations. The 2013 BSN All American team was selected based on votes by college sports information directors and college coaches. Every school was given the opportunity to have two votes. Along with the 2014 BSN Preseason All America Football Team award winners, you can find a list of the 2014 Preseason All Conference selections by BSN.

Johnson was part of an offensive attack that set several school records last season. Vernon now owns three school records: Single-Season Receiving Yards (1,350), Single-Season Receptions (70), and Single-Season Receiving Touchdowns (13), while as a team the Single-season Team Pass Attempts (481), the Single-game Team Pass Yards (474), and the Single-Season Team Pass Yards (3,654) records were all set last season.
On the defensive side of the ball, Tuaau had a great 2013 and set the single season sacks record (12.5) and single season tackles for loss record(25.0). Tuaau was named the LSC Defensive Player of the Year and a Daktronics All-American for his efforts last season.
