Turning Point
After losing the first set, Tarleton State came out immediately to set a new tone in the second set. The TexAnns never trailed in set two and went on to win the next three sets to end the match in four sets.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
After falling behind—early, The Lions were able to rally back against the TexAnns. The Lions outhit the TexAnns .267 to .118 and fought to claim a 25-20 first set win. Veronika Baric finished the set with five kills.
Set 2
The TexAnns jumped out to an early 11-5 lead before the Lions cut the lead down to four at 15-11. As the Lions tried to ease their way back into the set, the TexAnns refocused to extend their lead 19-12. Ultimately, Tarleton State ties the match at one game a piece with a 25-17 win in set two. The TexAnns never trailed in this set.
Set 3
The third set was very intense recording 13 ties with five lead changes. The Lions won the hitting percentage battle topping the TexAnns .286-.278 but still fell short 27-25 to take a 2-1 lead.
Set 4
Hailey Roberts exploded in this set assembling seven kills on nine swings. With an .091 hitting percentage, the Lions struggled to gain the momentum and force a fifth set. Tarleton State also helped their cause with strong defensive play with 15 digs and four blocks to close the door on the Lions with a 25-16 win in the fourth set.
