Commerce, Texas – The No. 2 seeded A&M-Commerce women's soccer team will kickoff against No. 3 seeded Texas Woman's in Lone Star Conference Championship semifinals Friday at 5 p.m.
The Series - The Lions claim a 14-2-6 all-time record against the Pioneers, including two different four-game winning streaks.
- The two teams tied in the first meeting of the season 2-2 back on October 1 in Denton, but the Lions claimed a 4-1 over the Pioneers at the Lion Soccer Field in Commerce.
About the Lions- The Lions enter play at 11-5-2, including a 7-1-2 mark in Lone Star Conference action.
- A&M-Commerce has won five of their last six game. All five wins came in LSC play as the Lions claimed the No. 2 seed in the LSC Championship finishing with 23 points – two more points than in 2014.
- The Blue and Gold rank first in the LSC in corner kicks with 100. Additionally, the Lions lead the league in points, goals and assists. They are tied for second in shutouts.

- TWU moved into the semifinals after a 1-0 quarterfinal win over No. 6 seed Eastern New Mexico Thursday.
- Only two TWU players are from somewhere other than the state of Texas. Emily Russell is a native of Bellingham, Washington, while leading scorer Natalia Diaz hails from Colombia.
- Texas Woman's allows 1.05 goals per game and scores 1.42 goals per game.
