DALLAS – The Texas A&M University-Commerce women's golf improved two spots on the last day of the DBU Classic to finish in 12th place after Tuesday's final round at the Golf Club of Dallas.
The Lions shot a 311 round on Tuesday for their best 18 holes of the event. A&M-Commerce jumped Oklahoma Christian and Arkansas-Fort Smith in the final standings with a score of 948 (320-317-311).
Emily Taylor was the top finisher for the Lions in 27th place. She shot a 3-over par 75 Tuesday to finish up with a score of 230.
Makena Thomas placed 55th with a three-round total of 242.
Emily White carded the best score of the event for A&M-Commerce on Tuesday with a 2-over par 74, finishing the event with a 246 to tie for 62nd.
Celeste Emeott also tied for 62nd at 246.
Anya Anders wrapped up the tournament with a 248 to finish in 70th.
The Lions will wrap up the fall season next Monday and Tuesday in Fort Sill, Okla., at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate hosted by Cameron. This will be the fourth tournament in as many weeks for the Lions.
