COLUMBIA. Mo. – East Texas A&M University women's golf team is in 14
th place after the first two rounds of the Johnie Imes Invitational on Monday at The Club at Old Hawthorne. Tuesday's final round was canceled due to inclement weather.
Missouri, this week's hosts, leads the tournament by nine strokes over Kentucky. The Lions are 18 strokes back of Omaha for 13
th in the 14-team tournament. Individually, Kentucky's Cathryn Brown is leading by a stroke over Missouri's Melanie Walker. Brown shot a 137 (64-73) on Monday.
For the Lions,
Linnea Olsson (Beddingestrand, Sweden) is tied for 50
th place with a score of 155 (77-78), while
Marie Baertz (Luxembourg) is tied for 63
rd place with a score of 158 (78-80) along with
Marie Naeher (Neuenbuerg, Germany), who shot 80-78 in the two rounds, respectively.
Tais Moreno (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) is tied for 70
th, totaling a score of 161 (78-83) and Beck Baberg (Asendorf, Germany) is tied for 80
th place, shooting a 169 (85-84) in the two rounds.
