Commerce, TX - The Lions come home after a month on the road to play for A&M-Commerce fans against Texas-Permian Basin.
The Lions have an overall record of 12-5 going into the game against the Falcons, who come to town with an overall record of 2-13.
The Lions dropped three of the four games to Cameron in their Lone Star Conference opener over the weekend.
UTPB also fell to Cameron in a doubleheader earlier in the season. The Falcons and the Lions have both also played Lubbock Christian. LCU was the Lion's first match up in the 2016 season. A&M-Commerce crushed the Chaps 11-5 with the help of
Cherie Jackson's hot bat. The Falcons played LCU February 19 and lost by a seven-run deficit 11-4.
A&M-Commerce opened the season at St. Mary's Collegiate Classic where the Lions won three of four games in the tournament, only falling to Super Regional Champs, St. Mary's. Jackson and
Luci Ponce were named to the all tournament team after they led the Lions in batting, and Jackson hit her first ever career grand slam.
A&M-Commerce then went on a seven game winning streak until splitting with Dominican University of California on February 21 when the Lions lost a close game 5-2, but came back to win game two, 4-3.
Jackson broke LSC record for walks in a game with six in the game vs. Academy of Art. The record was previously five set in 1997.
