COMMERCE – Four student-athletes from the East Texas A&M University softball team have been named to the Academic All-District teams, as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Gracie Alejo (Waco - Connally),
Charli Anger (Lubbock - Cooper),
Aaliyah Wilcox (Covington, Ga.), and
Tatum Wright (Frisco - Centennial) are the four honorees for the Lions this year, which marks the second consecutive season that the program had four student-athletes selected to the CSC Academic All-District teams.
Alejo is a criminal justice major in the classroom and has been named to the Dean's List as well as the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. She appeared in 39 games during the 2026 season, having started 38 and ranks fourth in the country for caught stealing by.
Anger has been named to the CSC Academic All-District teams for the second straight year. She appeared in 50 games in the 2026 season and started 48, being fourth on the team in batting average and fourth in RBIs. Anger is a kinesiology and sports studies major, while being named to the President's List and the SLC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Wright capped off her second straight all-Southland season, having been named to the first team in 2026, with her second CSC Academic All-District selection. In her 43 games, she hit for the team triple crown with a batting average of .362, 15 home runs, and 34 RBIs. Wright ends her Lion career being top 10 in program history in home runs and has been named to the Dean's List and SLC Commisioner's Honor Roll throughout her career. She received her bachelor's degree in biological sciences this spring.
Wilcox is named to the CSC Academic All-District team for the first time and has also been named to the President's List and SLC Commissioner's Honor Roll, being a public health major. She appeared in 51 games in 2026, being second on the team with two home runs and 16 RBIs.
