Portales, N.M. – Fresh off of the program's first Lone Star Conference series sweep of Texas A&M-Kingsville, the A&M-Commerce softball team will travel out to Eastern New Mexico for a four-game set Friday and Saturday with game times for the two doubleheaders scheduled for 1p.m. and 3 p.m. central time.
 
A&M-Commerce enters the series after going 7-0 the previous week with wins over the University of Texas-Permian Basin, a win over Newman and the four-game sweep of the Javelinas.
 
ENMU hasn't played since their last LSC series, a four-game set at Angelo State. The Greyhounds fell in the series 3-1 with their lone victory coming in game three, 12-9.
 
The Lions took the four-game series in 2015 at the John Cain Family Field, 3-1. A&M-Commerce won games one, two, and four by scores of 10-5, 8-0 and 4-3 with ENMU winning game three by a score of 8-3.
 
A&M-Commerce heads into the weekend leading the LSC and second in the NCAA in stolen bases per game at 3.79.  Bailey Higgs, who has already snapped her stolen base record from the previous season, is the league leader and 17th in the NCAA.
 
Cherie Jackson leads the LSC with 36 RBI and is fourth in the NCAA.
