In the last matchup between the Jets and Lions on February 13, 2015, the Lions won 13-4 after eight runs in the top of the seventh at Newman's home field.
The Jets are on a two game loosing streak after losing to Fort Hays State University on Monday, February 29. However, the Jets did beat Cameron early in the season 2-1 and the Lions fell to the Aggies just a week ago in three games.
Selena Rima has carried the Lions at the mound by only allowing 1.12 hits per inning pitched and is 6-3 on the season.
Magen Lynch has been consistent at the plate with 22 hits in the season and a .319 batting average.
