Commerce, TX – The Lions go on the road to play University of Texas-Permian Basin for the second time this season with a doubleheader Tuesday.
 
A&M-Commerce previously met with the Falcons at home on March 1. The Lions swept the Falcons for the DH, 8-1 in game one and 9-5 in game two.
 
The Lions go into the matchup on a one game-winning streak after winning game four in series vs. Texas Woman's. A&M-Commerce is 24-12 for the season heading into Odessa, TX to take on the Falcons who are 6-28.
 
The non-conference meeting will serve as a refresher for the Lions after playing LSC leader West Texas A&M and runner up Texas Woman's before entering into series against Tarleton State on Friday, April 1 Saturday, April 2 at home.
 
The Falcons play in a tough Heartland Conference and should not be underestimated. Zoe Murillo for the Falcons has a batting average of .469 and an on base percentage of .541 leading her team at the plate.
 
The pitching staff for the Lions comes in strong with Brittany Woolridge with a 2.31 ERA and Selena Rime with a 3.65 ERA. Together the duo has 120 strikeouts and has pitched huge majority for the Lions.
