WESTWORTH VILLAGE – The Texas A&M University-Commerce women's golf team finished the 2016 Texas Intercollegiate in third place after the completion of play Tuesday.
 
The Lions shot 953 (321-315-317, +89) to tie with Lone Star Conference rivals Angelo State and tournament hosts Texas Wesleyan at Hawks Creek GC.
 
Newcomer Any Anders tied for 13th in the tournament at 235 (+19) following a 79 on Tuesday. Marisa Delgado shot the Lions' best round of the second day with a 78, finishing in 18th place at 238.
 
Celeste Emeott finished in 24th at 241 and Emily Taylor and Makena Thomas each tied for 26th at 242. Emily White tied for 29th competing as an individual at 243.
 
The Lions are next in action on September 26-27 at the Oklahoma Baptist Fall Invitational in Midwest City, Okla.
