The Lions are coming off a win against Tarleton State. The Lions got off to a good start and held off the Texans late to get the win. Head coach Jaret von Rosenberg liked what he saw from his team in the win.

"Tarleton is such a tough place to play," he said. "They do such a good job. It's a big win to say the least. To go down there and be able to play 40 minutes, to play very solid and to come out with a win in the end, it was big. We played a different style than we were used to. We played in the low 60's. It was good to see us come out with a win playing differently than we are used to playing."

The Lions now face off against Eastern New Mexico. With both teams fighting for position in the LSC Tournament, von Rosenberg knows it will not be an easy matchup.

"Eastern New Mexico is playing very well," he said. "Those guys play hard and they are disciplined. It is going to be a really tough matchup for us. We have to come ready to play. We have to put 40 minutes together while competing at a high level and try to execute the game plan. They present a lot of challenges. They have a lot of guys that can make shots. They can rebound. We just have to play a clean game to give ourselves a chance. We hope our crowd is good and we hope we can get that little extra edge we need on our home floor to come out on top."

The Lions then host West Texas A&M on Saturday. With the day being senior day, von Rosenberg hopes the seniors on the team have a special day, but can overcome the emotions to lock in against a quality opponent.

"We added some seniors this year, but a lot of guys will be playing their last game at the Field House that have played in every game that I have coached here," he said. "We are playing a very good opponent in West Texas. What Coach Brown has done the last two years has been incredible. We have to get out of the emotions. Obviously it is fun for our guys and it is a unique opportunity to have family come in for their last game. But we have to get over that quickly and get locked in to what we have to do to give ourselves a chance to win. That's another game that will be very tough. We have to play 40 minutes to even give ourselves a chance. We will celebrate those seniors at the beginning of the game and then hopefully we will be celebrating with them after."
