IRVING – Texas A&M University-Commerce football defensive back and all-purpose player
Dominique Ramsey has been selected to the Dave Campbell's Texas Football all-small college team on Tuesday.
Ramsey (Converse – Judson) was selected as an All-American by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) last month, becoming the first player in program history to be minted as an All-American in three different seasons. The senior standout is one of five players from Division II in the 26-player team comprised of stars from NCAA FCS, Division II, Division III, NAIA, and NJCAA ranks.
In 2021, Ramsey led the Lone Star Conference with 444 punt return yards, as well as scoring the only touchdown on a punt return in the conference. He also returned 12 kickoffs for 280 yards and his longest kick return was 44 yards. Ramsey also had 51 tackles, which led the team as well as two tackles for loss, two interceptions, two pass breakups, one quarterback hurry, and one fumble recovery. He also made his presence felt offensively with 44 passing yards, 32 receiving yards, and three rushing yards.
He was also named to all-small college team in 2019.
