KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Two members of the Texas A&M University-Commerce soccer team have been selected as all-South Central Region players by United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday afternoon. Forwards
Karalie Morrison and
Leslie Campuzano are named to the second team.
Morrison (North Richland Hills – Colleyville Heritage) was named the 2021 Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year as well as selected as first team all-conference honoree. She finished her freshman campaign with 12 goals, nine assists, and 33 points. All ranked in the top three among all players in the conference. The freshman forward scored four match-winning goals in 18 regular season matches, as well as a hat-trick against UT Permian Basin on September 26.
Campuzano (Garland – Lakeview Centennial) scored 10 goals and seven assists. She had 24 points in the regular season, which were top-10 in the Lone Star Conference. The senior forward was named First Team all-LSC, earning all-conference honors for the fourth time in her career.
The senior forward was named an all-South Central Region player by the Division II Conference Commissioners' Association this fall and she has selected as an all-region player three times. Morrison is the first freshman from A&M-Commerce to receive all-region honors since Michelle Kotlik in 2016.
