A LOOK AT THE BRACKET
The winner of the game between the Lions and the Rambelles on Saturday advances to the LSC Tournament semifinals on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The other team in the semifinal will be the winner of the first round matchup of No. 1 seed UT Tyler and the winner of the play-in game between No. 8 West Texas A&M and No. 9 Cameron. The LSC Tournament Championship game is on Sunday at 11 a.m.
NCAA SELECTION SHOW
The winner of the LSC Tournament receives an automatic bid into the NCAA South Central Regionals. The eight teams in the NCAA South Central Regionals will be announced on NCAA.com on Monday at 9 a.m. central time. The eight teams will be split into two locations for the regional round with the top two seeds hosting.

NCAA REGIONAL RANKINGS
The Lions are ranked No. 5 in the last regional rankings released by the NCAA prior to Monday's selection show. The Lions' first round opponent, the Rambelles, are ranked No. 3. The South Central Region is made up of the Lone Star Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Lions moved up a spot in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) rankings to be ranked No. 18 in the final poll before the postseason. The Lions have been nationally ranked in all but one poll this season. The Rambelles are ranked No. 7 in the country.
ALL-CONFERENCE RECOGNITION
Five Lions earned recognition during the Lone Star Conference Softball awards banquet on Wednesday night.
Emily Otto (Lamar Consolidated),
Sabrina Anguiano (Riverside, Calif.),
Alyssa LeBlanc (Katy), and
Madison Schaefer (Frisco – Independence) were named to first team all-conference, while
Leo Terry was named to the all-freshman team. Otto was also selected to the all-academic and golden glove teams.
NATIONAL AND CONFERENCE WEEKLY RECOGNITION
A&M-Commerce's
Madison Schaefer (Frisco – Independence) and
Alyssa LeBlanc (Katy) swept the LSC Weekly awards on April 27. Schaefer was named the hitter of the week, while LeBlanc was named the pitcher of the week. Schaefer hit at one least home run in each series and batted .556 in six wins for the Lions. She had the game-winning home run against Oklahoma Christian in game one, while recording multiple hits in four of the six games.
LeBlanc pitched in four of the six games, collecting three wins and a save, while allowing just one earned run and striking out 24. She tossed a seven-inning no hitter in 1-0 win over Henderson State, picked up a complete game shutout win over Cameron, pitched in relief to get the save in game one against No. 15 Oklahoma Christian, and allowed just one run in complete game win over the Eagles in game two.
She was selected as the Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week on March 21 after 18.2 shutout innings with 32 strikeouts. She was also named the conference's top pitcher on February 22 and selected as the NFCA Pitcher of the Week that day as well.
Emily Otto (Lamar Consolidated) has also earned an LSC Pitcher of the Year award this season.
Sabrina Anguiano (Riverside, Calif.) was named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week as well as the Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week on March 15. She batted .909 with three home runs and seven RBIs in four games against Western New Mexico and UT Permian Basin.

A LOOK AT THE LIONS
Anguiano leads the team with a batting average of .383, while Schaefer is batting .358 on the season and hit six home runs in the last 14 games. She has nine home runs and 39 RBIs on the season.
MacKenzie Dugi (St. Hedwig – East Central) is batting .348 with 27 RBIs.
Uxua Modrego (Burlada, Spain) and LeBlanc have team-leading 11 home runs each.
Terry has 27 stolen bases, which is fifth in the conference, while
Avery Boley (Fort Worth – Nolan Catholic) has 28 RBIs on a batting average of .293.
Otto is 19-4 this season with 16 complete games and pitched to an ERA of 2.54 with 149 strikeouts during the regular season. She tossed a complete game win over Angelo State during the regular season. LeBlanc is second in the conference with 159 strikeouts and is 14-7 on the season with an ERA of 2.78.
SCOUTING THE RAMBELLES
Angelo State is led by Lone Star Conference Player of the Year Paxton Scheurer, who is the third in the country with 22 home runs and 70 RBIs this season. She did not have a home run in the two games between the Lions and the Rambelles in San Angelo earlier this season.
Ashlynn Box is batting .358 with nine home runs and 44 RBIs. Lindsey Evans has 11 home runs and 38 RBIs. Ashlyn Lema is 45 for 46 in stolen base attempts this season and has an on base percentage of .494.
Genesis Armendariz is 19-4 with an ERA of 2.33 in 29 appearances with 117 strikeouts. Torrey Hogan is 16-5 with 96 strikeouts in 25 appearances.
