FRISCO – East Texas A&M University softball player Tatum Wright is the first player in Lions' Division I era to earn all-Southland Conference honors twice after being named to first team all-conference on Wednesday afternoon for the 2026 season.
 
Wright (Frisco – Centennial) is the first Lion to be named to first team all-Southland since the 2023 season and the program's fourth all-conference honoree in the Division I era. She was named to second team all-conference last season.
 
This season, Wright finished the regular season with 15 home runs, which was second in the Southland, while also being fifth in program history for most home runs in a single season. She had a batting average of .353, which was 15^th in the conference as well as being tied for 14^th in RBIs (34).
 
During Southland Conference play, she was tied for third in home runs (seven) and 11^th in RBIs (21).
